[Effingham, Illinois – July 1, 2025] — Vantage Surgical Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Chiappetta as a Surgical Sales Representative, reporting to Add Owen, Regional Vice President of Sales. Jim will play a key role in supporting Wisconsin hospitals and surgery centers in expanding access to high-quality surgical care through Vantage’s comprehensive ophthalmology and GI programs.
With a deep background in medical device sales, business development, and team leadership, Jim brings decades of experience serving providers and clinicians across the Midwest. His ability to build long-term relationships, educate healthcare teams, and drive meaningful growth has made him a trusted partner in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings.
A Track Record of Growth and Innovation
Jim began his healthcare journey in orthopedic trauma and extremity sales with Biomet Orthopedics, later holding key roles with Stryker Orthopedics, OrthoHelix, Memometal Technologies, ACell Inc., Advanced Tissue, and WishBone Medical, where he served as Area Vice President. In each role, he earned national recognition for his performance while helping surgeons and care teams implement complex medical technologies.
Jim also founded Explore Medical, LLC, where he built a successful business delivering medical devices, biologics, and wound care solutions. His entrepreneurial drive and client-first approach have made him highly effective in supporting the evolving needs of hospitals—particularly in rural and community settings.

In addition to his professional achievements, Jim has spent years investing in his local community. He has coached and organized youth football programs, led booster clubs, served as a Rotarian, and supported church and volunteer initiatives throughout Racine, Wisconsin. Most recently, he was invited to join the Board of Directors for the Racine Raiders Semi-Pro Football Team and the Quarterback Club at Carthage College, where his son Leo will play after a standout high school football career.
Jim and his wife, Charity, have been married for 29 years and are proud parents to three children and two grandchildren.
