[Effingham, Illinois – April 1, 2024] — Vantage Surgical Solutions is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Hurst as Regional Vice President (RVP) of Sales for the Southern U.S. In this role, Michael will lead the company’s growth and partnership efforts across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, reporting directly to Sean O’Donnell, Chief Growth Officer.
With more than a decade of experience in healthcare services, Michael brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to hospital and physician engagement. Known for listening first and collaborating closely with clients, he specializes in identifying practical, high-impact strategies that improve access to care and help grow sustainable service lines—even in today’s resource-constrained environment.

A Tennessee native now based in Brentwood, Michael has worked alongside health systems, medical associations, and independent physician practices across the South. His focus at Vantage includes helping hospitals maximize underutilized operating rooms and solve for specialty service gaps—especially in communities where access to surgical care is limited.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, a registered nurse, and their three daughters. He’s also a golf enthusiast and enjoys organizing wine and whiskey tastings with friends.
