With more than twelve years of industry experience and deep relationships with Ophthalmologists in the region, Jim will play a key role in expanding Vantage Surgical Solutions’ presence in rural communities across those markets.
Jim Shaheen brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in the ophthalmic industry. With over a decade of experience in ophthalmology sales, Jim has consistently demonstrated exceptional customer service and an in-depth understanding of the unique needs and challenges of healthcare providers in the region. He has a keen eye for identifying opportunities and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, which has resulted in significant sales achievements throughout his career.
In his new role as Surgical Sales Representative, Jim will be responsible for introducing Vantage Surgical Solutions’ mobilized surgical services to healthcare facilities, clinics, and professionals across the region. With more than 20% of the US population residing in rural areas, it is vital that hospitals and surgeons in those areas are equipped to meet the healthcare demands of that growing population, including offering cataract surgery. With 1 in 6 people over the age of 40 already having started developing cataracts, it is critical that rural communities are prepared to meet those demands. Shaheen lives in Canton, Ohio where he is a well-known and accomplished trivia aficionado. He has cleared three qualifying rounds for the TV show Jeopardy and is in a pool of participants awaiting the call to Culver City, CA to compete on-air.
